Get-A-Pet leads New York animal lovers on scavenger hunt for hidden keys
A van full of dog and cat food is driving through New York City, leading animal lovers on a fun scavenger hunt for a good cause.
Get-A-Pet, an organization that finds homes for abandoned animals, is leading participants on a citywide hunt to find three keys, one of which will go to the van filled with about 2,000 pounds of pet food.
The keys will be hidden all around the city as a way to bring awareness to the importance of adopting animals from rescue shelters.
The person who finds the key to the van will get $1,000 and will be able to donate the vehicle with all the food inside to the animal rescue group of their choosing.
