MTA plans new Bronx Metro-North stations
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is proposing to build four Metro-North stations in the Bronx as part of a five-year capital-improvement plan.
The MTA plans to put aside about $743 million to build the four stations in Parkchester, Hunts Point, Morris Park and Co-op City.
Before the plan can proceed, it needs approval from the state legislature and then Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has said he would support the project.
Many Bronx residents have said they are excited about the prospect of more train service to help ease crowding.
