Business owners hope surveillance video will help catch thief
A business owner hopes that surveillance video will help catch a thief.
Maria Cruz says surveillance video from a neighboring business shows a man stealing tires and rims from her work minivan.
She says the incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday on East 156th Street near Bruckner Boulevard.
Cruz says this is the third time this month that her vehicles have been broken into in this area.
Despite the 41st Precinct being only a block away, business owners in the area say vehicles here are constantly being broken into.
Cruz says business owners will continue to keep an eye on each other's businesses, but that police need to canvass the area more.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS
