P.S. 121 student pricks at least 5 classmates with needle
Allerton parents say they are outraged after learning a third-grade student at P.S. 121 pricked at least five of her classmates with a hypodermic needle.
Two parents whose sons were pricked with the needle last Monday say the school only informed parents whose children had been exposed to the syringe, instead of notifying everyone. The children who were exposed to the needle are now on medication, which they have to take for a month.
The Department of Education says the principal is conducting an investigation and the police have been notified. However, some parents claim the school waited a week to file a police report.
The syringe is being tested to find out its contents and what it was used for.
