A pedestrian was hit by a minivan in Soundview this morning,
The accident occurred on the corner of Rosedale and Seward avenues.
Eyewitnesses say a man tried to cross the street when he was hit by a van.
The passenger in the van said they were driving slowly and the light turned green when the man looked like he was walking in front of the car on purpose.
The passenger also told News 12 that the victim seemed to be relatively OK after the accident, and that he was able to move and knew his name.
It is unknown if there will be any charges brought up against the driver. He did remain at the scene and was not handcuffed after being given a Breathalyzer.
