City Island shop owners say warm weather means more business

Some City Island shop owners are hoping the warm summer heat sticks around a bit longer.



They say the winter season is slow for businesses, and are hoping that warm weather lasts throughout the fall.



The owner of Lickety Split ice cream shop says they hope Tuesday's heat wave will continue so that the establishment can stay open longer.



A worker at Johnny's in City Island says that business was slower than usual this season due to the mild temperatures. They are also hoping for the warm weather to continue
