Nearly 1 million gather for the West Indian American Day Parade in Brooklyn

Nearly one million people gathered along Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn for the West Indian American Day Parade Monday.
Caribbean culture was in the spotlight as many enjoyed the colorful floats, elaborate costumes, music, food and fun.
The massive annual Caribbean celebration was a major success with people coming from near and far to sing, dance and appreciate the culture.
Those who attended the carnival enjoyed Caribbean drinks like fresh coconut water and spicy jerk chicken.
