Police: Teenagers rob 14-year-old of food stamp card at gunpoint on Bronxwood Avenue

Police are after four teenagers who allegedly robbed a 14-year-old boy at gunpoint for his food stamps.

According to investigators, the victim was stopped in front of 2572 Bronxwood Ave. while he was walking home at around midnight on Aug. 10.

They say the suspects stole his food stamp card from his backpack, then demanded his PIN and punched him in the face before running away.

Authorities released a surveillance image of the teens, which was taken at a deli near where the boy was attacked. All four are believed to be about 17 years old.

The victim suffered from pain and swelling to his right eye, but refused medical attention.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
