Cops seek suspect who tried to snatch chain off woman's neck on East 172nd Street
Police are searching for the man who tried to steal a necklace off of a woman's neck last week.
It happened on East 172nd Street at St. Lawrence Avenue back on Aug. 13. Investigators say the suspect attempted to yank off a gold chain that was worn by a 48-year-old woman.
The suspect is seen on surveillance video. Police have released the video in hopes that someone will recognize him.
Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
