Livery cab driver Aboubacal Bah fatally shot on Bryant Avenue in Hunts Point
Police have released surveillance video in the fatal shooting of a livery cab driver early Tuesday morning.
The video shows three of the four suspects police believe killed 62-year-old Aboubacal Bah.
Bah, who worked for Webster Car Service, was fatally shot at around 6 a.m. Tuesday. Police found him lying in the middle of Bryant Avenue in Hunts Point with a gunshot wound to the head. His car was found abandoned on Underhill Avenue.
Last week, another livery cab driver, Maoudo Kane, was found fatally shot in the front yard of a home on Hunter Avenue in Co-op City. Police have not said if there are any links between the two killings, but Fernando Mateo, spokesperson of the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers, believes there are. The suspect reportedly used a similar mode of operation, and both victims were shot in the head.
Mateo will meet with NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton Wednesday to discuss security for cab drivers.
