6,000-pound air tank falls off truck on Bartow Avenue in Baychester

A massive compressed air tank fell off a truck, causing some traffic problems in Baychester.  The 23-foot pressure vessel rolled onto Bartow Avenue, near Wickham Avenue, at around 9 p.m. Thursday.

6,000-pound air tank falls off truck on Bartow Avenue in Baychester
A massive compressed air tank fell off a truck, causing some traffic problems in Baychester. 
The 23-foot pressure vessel rolled onto Bartow Avenue, near Wickham Avenue, at around 9 p.m. Thursday. 
The Office of Emergency Management said the problem with picking up the tank wasn't the compressed air inside, but that it weighed 6,000 pounds. 
The tank was finally removed early Friday.
