The La Familia Verde farmers market is now delivering for free.

The business has been around for 13 years, selling fresh vegetables and fruits on East Tremont Avenue. A few weeks ago it started "La Familia Verde Truck Farm," through which it delivers to the homes of residents with limited mobility in Tremont and Crotona.

The farmers market has teamed up with Tremont senior citizens and the Tremont Community Garden to make this possible. 

The truck only delivers on Tuesdays, which is when the market is open. It drops off the produce after 2 p.m.
