Overnight Con Ed construction near Sedgwick Avenue by Van Cortlandt Park disturbs neighbors’ sleep
Neighbors say overnight Con Ed construction near Sedgwick Avenue has caused them many sleepless nights.
They say for the past two months there has been overnight work near Sedgwick Avenue by Van Cortlandt Park.
One resident says the work starts at around 9 p.m. and continues until 3 a.m. Con Ed says its workers are doing non-emergency work to a transmission feeder and that the permit with the Department of Transportation requires the work to be done at night.
Residents say after News 12 spoke with Con Ed, workers continued the construction during daytime hours and stopped overnight work.
