Throgs Neck Little League keeps World Series dream alive with section championship win
The Throgs Neck 12-and-under Little League has won its first section championship since 1967. 
With a few more wins, the team could be playing in the Little League World Series.
The last time a team from the Bronx played in the Little League World Series was in 2001, when Danny Almonte and his Rolando Paulino team finished third before controversy removed that team from the record books.
That was before the players on the Throgs Neck team had been born
