Instead of a fast food burger, grab a salad.
That is the message Bronx residents heard from volunteers at a health fair in Soundview Park Saturday. The Bronx CAN Fast Food Challenge initiative aims to encourage people to seek out healthy options over fast food.
Volunteers teamed up with Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. to show off some healthy meal options.
At the health fair, people were also able to take advantage of free health screenings and find healthy food, music and more.
