A Bronx Bombers masterpiece was painted on the store gates across from Yankee Stadium Monday afternoon.
It only took one hour for two New York City artists to paint portraits of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig on the River Avenue storefront.
The artists were chosen by the nonprofit 501 (see)(streets), which partnered with the 161st Business Improvement District to help brighten up the roadway.
A total of eight murals, including Reggie Jackson and Derek Jeter, will be painted by the end of July.
