Local teens are enjoying the outdoors while earning a paycheck through the trail crew internship program.
The teens work at Van Cortlandt Park four days a week until August 22, and they make $8 an hour.
They are responsible for maintaining the trails in the park, building footbridges and removing non-native invasive plants.
Many of the interns News 12 spoke say this is their second year because they enjoy the internship so much.
