Weekend Travel Advisory for July 11 - July 13
There are some weekend construction projects taking place on the roads and rails that residents should be aware of.
The Throgs Neck Bridge will have up to two lanes closed heading into Queens throughout the weekend for repairs. It will fully reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday.
There will be two lanes closed on the Whitestone Bridge heading into Queens from midnight until 8 a.m. Sunday. The RFK Bridge will be the better option to take during this time.
On mass transit, there will be no 5 trains or 2 trains between East 180th Street and the Grand Concourse. There will also not be any 5 trains from East 180th Street to Bowling Green station.
Downtown 6 trains will skip the Middletown Road, Westchester Square and Castle Hill Avenue stations, and Coney Island-bound D trains will skip the 182nd Street station.
Alternates side of the street parking rules will be in effect on Saturday citywide.
