Young Dancemakers Company rehearses in Riverdale for annual summer performance

Dancers from all over the city are prepping for a one-of-a-kind creative concert.
Sixteen students are currently rehearsing in Riverdale for an annual performance from the Young Dancemakers Company. Each dancer was hand-picked to participate in the free summer program, which even offers them a chance to choreograph their own numbers.
Directors say it isn't about a particular style or technique, but rather about giving students an outlet to express themselves.
The first performance of the company's 19th season is July 24 at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School.
