Facebook is in the hot seat for testing the psyche of its users without directly telling them.
The social media giant conducted an anonymous study in 2012 to test emotional manipulation.
According to Facebook data scientists, they altered the news feeds of almost 700,000 people to find out if they could change users' emotions.
