Best of the Bronx: Eagle Academy valedictorian Brenton James accepted to 21 colleges
A high school valedictorian in the Bronx has set a high bar for underclassmen to live up to.
Brenton James, also known as King James, is not only leaving the Eagle Academy at the top of his class with an advanced Regents diploma, but he's also the first person in the history of the school to be headed to an Ivy League university.
James will attend the University of Pennsylvania, but he had plenty of options after being accepted into all of the 21 schools he applied to.
James says he couldn't have accomplished so much without the support of his family, friends, teachers and after-school programs. He hopes that other students and parents in the Bronx will see that high achievements are very possible.
James plans to major in either finance or economics, and is interning at a mutual bond company for the summer.
