Unemployment on rise in the Bronx, but remains lower than 2013

Unemployment numbers are going up in the Bronx and New York state, but it's not all bad news.
According to the New York City Labor Force, unemployment in Bronx County was at 10.6 percent last month, which is a three-point increase from April.
However, the numbers are still a drop from what they were in May of last year when the borough saw an unemployment rate of 11.5 percent.
The state's numbers also rose by three points from April to May, reaching 6.4 percent, but again that number is down from 7.5 percent at the same time in 2013.
