Possible marijuana 'grow house' found on Teller Avenue in Grand Concourse
Officials say they found a possible marijuana "grow house" after responding to a fire in Grand Concourse.
The FDNY responded to a call about a fire on the seventh-floor of 1230 Teller Ave. at around 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Authorities say they found one room filled with marijuana and another room used to dry the plants.
Neighbors told News 12 that they could smell the marijuana, but never thought that the person in the apartment was growing the plant.
Police have not released the name of the person who lives in the apartment.
The cause is still under investigation, but some say that the lights and fans allegedly used to grow the marijuana plants were left on, possibly leading to the fire.
