Man shot, injured on Union Avenue

A young man was shot and injured early Sunday morning in Claremont Village.

Authorities say it happened at around 3 a.m. on the corner of Union Avenue and Freeman Street, about a mile and a half west of the Sheridan Expressway.

A 20-year-old man was shot once in the shoulder after a dispute turned violent, officials say. The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital and is expected to be OK.

News 12 is told that the victim is not cooperating with investigators, and as a result, there is no description of the suspect at this time.
