Van Nest Neighborhood Alliance wants a graffiti removal program
Residents in Van Nest are taking a stand against a growing graffiti problem in their community.
The Van Nest Neighborhood Alliance is working with state Sen. Gustavo Rivera to form a graffiti removal program, which it had two years ago under a previous senator.
Alliance members complain that the graffiti is only getting worse, and is a major eyesore on buildings and storefronts. They claim that the city takes months to clean it up.
The group is sending a list to their representatives of more than 100 locations that have been tagged with graffiti. They're also planning a walk-through with local leaders to show them just how bad it is.
