A modeling no show for BX residents

(07/27/03) HARDING PARK - Many princesses scheduled to take part in the year's Puerto Rican Day Parade were disappointed Sunday when a Bronx Old Navy store cancelled a schedule modeling show.

After standing outside the store for several hours, the princesses were told to go home because the show would not go on. The store's manager said there was no authorization from the corporate headquarters in California despite the show being promoted for weeks. The manager offered Old Navy T-shirts, but the participants refused.

All of the girls will take part in the Puerto Rican Day Parade on the Grand Concourse on Sunday, August 3.
