Bloomberg visits with Bronx residents

(07/30/03) THROGS NECK - It was a packed house at the Villa Baron Manor in Throgs Neck Wednesday as Mayor Bloomberg dropped in on a town meeting. The mayor visited with Bronx residents and heard their concerns about their neighborhood and the city.

Bloomberg received a standing ovation and then they grilled the mayor on topics ranging from education and construction to 911 calls, but a major concern on the minds of many was the overcrowding and over building on the streets of Throgs Neck.

The mayor promised to return in November with some answers, and as he left many had high hopes.
