Limited transportation in the Bronx

It has been a dark night for a lot of Bronx residents. Power is on in some areas, but for a lot of people the outages will continue throughout the day. Officials say that it may be hours before power is completely restored. Power restoration is sporadic all over the city. Part of the southeast Bronx did get power back Thursday night, but that is not the case for everyone. The mayor is asking people to stay home from work if they can. Metro-North and the Long Island Rail Road are not operating at this time. Once the power comes back, MTA officials say it could be eight hours before subway service is restored. Extra buses are being made available. If you're flying out of the city, all area airports have extensive delays.
