Mayor Bloomberg stops at Lehman College to announce new music school

Mayor Bloomberg is making his rounds in the Bronx Wednesday.

One stop on the mayor's visit to the Bronx was at Lehman College, where a new high school music program is opening in honor of the late Celia Cruz. Come September, 90 freshmen will begin classes at the DeWitt Clinton High School/Lehman College Celia Cruz Bronx High School of Music.

Mayor Bloomberg says music is the key that unlocks the door to all learning. He says it really helps get kids interested.

Other stops for the mayor include a senior center in Riverdale, a tour of the City Island Bridge and a meeting with Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion Jr.
