Bronx not-for-profit offers free computer training

Bronx residents looking to change careers can take advantage of free computer training.

The South Bronx organization Per Scholas trains people how to succeed in the technology field and perhaps become computer technicians. Hundreds of trainees have gone on to get jobs.

In addition to job training, people learn how to recondition computers so that they can be sold to the general public. The second-hand computers can be purchased for around $245 at Per Scholas' Bronx location or at any goodwill store in New York City.
