BX residents urged to use caution on the roads this Labor Day weekend

The U.S Department of Transportation says safety must come first this holiday weekend.

As the unofficial end to summer approaches, many Bronx residents will be taking to the roads for a long weekend getaway. That's why National Highway Traffic Safety Administration officials are urging everyone to be cautious. Officials say the sad fact is that many people will lose their lives on the roads this weekend due to drunk drivers and not wearing a seatbelt.

So to stay safe, always wear your seatbelt, don't drive aggressively and always have a designated driver.
