Vandals strike at P.S. 112 just days before the start of school

Vandals strike again in the Bronx, this time at P.S. 112.

Police say vandals snuck in during the night through a cafeteria window. All three floors of the school have extensive damage. Police say windows were broken, computers were damaged and graffiti was scribbled on walls.

Earlier this week, vandals trashed P.S. 142. Staff members reporting for their first day of work had to be evacuated after the vandals apparently spilled dangerous chemicals in one of the science labs.

Police are looking at whether both incidents of vandalism are connected.

School custodians will work through the weekend at P.S. 112 to get the school ready for classes on Monday.
