Still no answers for Bronx parents regarding crosswalk at busy intersection

Bronx parents can't understand why nothing is being done at the intersection of East 187th Street and Webster Avenue.

Back in November, parents asked the Department of Transportation (DOT) to place a crossing guard there, and also wanted a re-adjustment of the timing of the crosswalk. It's nearly a year later and parents still have the same concerns and the same demands.

Parents are worried because the intersection is right next to PS 85. They say you only have 10 seconds to cross the street.

News 12 The Bronx brought it to the DOT's attention on Friday, and a spokesman says he will send a crew out there next week. Parents say they've heard that before, and are demanding more than just another site survey.
