Bronx woman charged after her toddler is found inside a laundry bag

Police have charged a Bronx mother with child endangerment after they say she left her child in a laundry bag.

Police say 44-year-old Stephanie Warren passed out on the steps of a Harlem subway station when passersby noticed something moving inside a laundry bag next to her. That's when the toddler was discovered. Both Warren and her child were taken to the hospital. Warren was admitted for treatment and the child was placed in foster care.

Warren, who has a history of drug problems, has five other children, including three who were removed from the home and put up for adoption.
