Young Bronx boy struck by cab in Longwood

A seven-year-old Bronx boy that was struck by a cab in Longwood Saturday is now in stable condition at Lincoln Hospital.Reportedly, when the cab stopped after hitting the boy, the driver was attacked by witnesses and he was allegedly stabbed in the arm. Bronx police say the driver was also taken to Lincoln Hospital where he was treated and released. No arrests were made and the driver was not given a ticket.Police are still investigating the accident and the events that took place afterward.Not long after this incident, a 63-year-old man was run down by a car on the Grand Concourse at 170th Street and hospitalized. According to police, his injuries are life threatening. The driver was issued a summons.
