Long security lines at Walton High School a thing of the past

Students at Walton High School say long security lines have improved.

For weeks, News 12 The Bronx has been following the problem of long security lines at several Bronx schools. Students at Walton and other schools claimed they were constantly late for class because it took so long to get through security checkpoints. Now they say the lines are a thing of the past.

Security lines have also improved at the Richard R. Green Middle School. But students at schools such as Evander Childs High School are still battling lines.

The Department of Education has said it is looking into the issue.
