Bronx residents celebrate 27th annual Columbus Day Parade

Thousands of Bronx residents celebrated the 27th annual Columbus Day Parade in Morris Park Sunday.

More than 50 groups from The Bronx and the tri-state area came to commemorate the voyage of Christopher Columbus that lead to the discovery of America back in 1492. Italian-Americans in The Bronx say the annual parade has helped bring their community together.

Organizers say this year even a delegation from Italy came to The Bronx to be part of the festivities.
