Parking crisis over for some Co-op City drivers

After four months of repairs, Co-op City's Garage Six is set to open Wednesday. The garage was closed for repairs after workers noticed that the 30-year-old concrete was deteriorating and creating the possibility of a collapse. Co-op City officials told residents they would have to move their cars out of the garage so contractors could make repairs. Now after being forced to park on the street or in distant lots for months, some Co-op City residents are getting some relief. Workers were putting the finishing touches on the Bellamy Loop's Garage Six and the rest of the work is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
