Unique Bronx school gives kids the chance to get one-on-one attention

A new charter school in the Bronx offers kids smaller class sizes.

With only 50 students, four teachers and four teaching assistants, the Bronx Charter School for Better Learning is a place where students receive more personalized attention.

Parents say the school is important because it gives them the option of taking their kids out of mainstream public school. Some of them say they cannot afford private school, so the charter school is a great alternative.

Enrollment at the Bronx Charter School for Better learning is not based on academic requirement. All parents have to do is fill out an application for their child. If the school receives too many applications then it conducts a lottery.
