Four Bronx men say they were arrested for playing dominoes

Four Bronx men are facing criminal fines for doing something they've done for over a decade, play dominoes in the park. They were given tickets last weekend while playing a game in their usual spot in Joyce Kilmer Park.

The men say last Sunday three undercover officers approached them. They claim the officers asked to wager on the game, but the men declined. Still, three of the players, including a 79-year old man, were summonsed for disorderly conduct. The fourth player was keeping score in a notebook and he was ticketed for "loitering for the purpose of gambling." The men say in over ten years they have never played dominoes for money.

A Bronx judge will determine whether they will be fined during a hearing in December. Police officials did not immediately return News 12 The Bronx's request for a comment.
