Promise by City Hall to clean up the Bronx continues

In what has been an on-going effort by City Hall to improve quality of life in the five boroughs, cleaning crews are back in the Bronx Wednesday. They are spending the day along the Grand Concourse and East 167th Street, picking up debris from an underpass in the area. The mayor's office says that underpass has been an eyesore in the Bronx for too long and now something has to be done about it.Last week, the mayor's Anti-Graffiti Task Force spent three days in the Bronx erasing spray paint from walls. Other crews have cleaned up area roadways like the Bruckner Expressway Service. This is the second time this year people from mayor's office have cleaned up that Bronx underpass; it's the third time since Mayor Bloomberg took office.
