High winds wreak havoc throughout the Bronx

Strong winds whipped through the Bronx once again on Friday.

The fierce winds caused problems for residents again. Anyone who headed out on the road was urged to use caution especially when driving over bridges. And residents who were outside walking should had to watch out for flying debris.

Meanwhile on Thursday, the winds sent trees crashing and caused power outages. In Williamsbridge, a tree snapped and came crashing down on a car, and in Morrisania police had to close down a street after part of a building collapsed. The fierce winds also knocked out power to a number of Bronx residents.
