Teen found beaten to death inside a Bronx apartment building

Police are now looking to question a 21-year-old in connection with a teen's death in the Bronx.

Police say 18-year-old Joneese Davis was found on the third floor stairwell of 1500 Nobel Avenue by the security guards. They say she died from strangulation and head wounds. Davis was staying with her grandmother who lives at the apartment complex.

According to police, a man who said he killed the girl left a message on the grandmother's answering machine. Police believe it was Davis' boyfriend. Now police say 21-year-old Gary Jackson is wanted for questioning.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
