Community groups rally in support of Bronx mom facing criminal charges

Community groups against police brutality came out Monday in support of a woman who says she's been unfairly targeted.

Juanita Young's son Malcome Furgeson was killed by a police officer three years ago. She says her son was a victim of police brutality and quickly became active in speaking out about the issue. The officer involved in the shooting was never charged.

Young says since she has been vocal about the incident, police found a way to harass her by having her evicted from her apartment in June. Now Young faces criminal charges for trespassing in her own apartment.

Members of the community groups supporting Young want the district attorney to drop the charges.

Young says no matter what the outcome of the the case is, she will continue to speak out against police brutality.
