Bronx parents rally behind fired principal
Parents are rallying behind a Bronx principal after the Grace Lutheran School fired her the day before Thanksgiving. Yvette George claims she was given no reason for her dismissal and says she was fired in front of the students.
More than 50 Bronx parents showed up for a meeting Saturday night to show support for George. They're angry with the school for the chaos it created when George was fired. Many parents are thinking twice about sending their kids back to the school.
George says she suspects she was fired after finding discrepancies in school finances. The Grace Lutheran Church Council didn't return News 12 The Bronx's phone calls.
