Potholes popping up around the Bronx following snowstorm

Snow, sleet and the salt used for the streets have created some major potholes around the Bronx.

Although potholes tend to be a problem after winter and right before the spring, last week's snowstorm has already done some damage.

On Wednesday, five crews were out repairing potholes. The Department of Transportation says since Monday, its crews have filled 442 potholes in the Bronx alone. The DOT also says 44,000 have been filled since July 1 citywide.

Anyone wishing to report a pothole problem can call 311 or log onto the DOT's Web site. The DOT tries to get to all complaints within 30 days.
