Parkchester woman battling mice problem in her apartment

One Parkchester woman is fighting a battle against mice in her apartment.

Lillian Minton says in the past year she has caught 50 mice and 15 have been since Thanksgiving. She says that the smell from the mice when they die is horrendous.

To try and get rid of the problem Minton hired someone but that didn't work. She has tried to plug up all areas where she thought the mice could be coming from but that also failed.

Minton has considered moving but says instead she has decided to stay and fight. She says so far building management has not been helping. She believes management has not realized how bad the problem is.

Minton has made up flyers telling residents that she is organizing a meeting on the mice infestation on Sunday. She wants to show building management that she means business and will not stop fighting until the mice are gone.

Building management says it plans to check Minton's apartment.
