Parents still upset over math teacher situation at I.S. 192

I.S. 192 parents are still upset even though permanent math teachers have been assigned to the school.

Since September, parents say their kids have not had a permanent math teacher. The Department of Education confirmed that was the case, and after parents complained math teachers were finally assigned to the school on Monday.

But parents say they are still unhappy with the situation because in another month or so their kids are required to take standardized tests. Parents say the kids are not prepared. A PTA member also agreed and said another part of the problem is discipline, saying the new teachers are having trouble with the students.

Overall parents feel the problem has not been resolved.
