Bronx teen in stable condition after being shot in the leg

A 14-year-old Bronx boy is recovering from a gunshot wound Wednesday.

Police say Sean Harris was walking up the stairs at 421 East 168th Street Tuesday night when a man walked by him. The boy heard shots and then realized he had been hit once in the leg. He was taken to Lincoln Medical Center and is in stable condition.

His family says he will be home in time for Christmas, but adds that they are fed up with the violence in the area.

So far, police are not sure whether the shooter had been aiming for the boy or someone else. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
