Bronx woman found dead in house full of dogs

Police sources said an elderly Bronx woman was found dead inside her Parkchester home.

Law enforcement sources said at least ten dogs fed on her body to stay alive.

The Center for Animal Care and Control removed the dogs and some cats as well. Police said they were overpowered by the stench of animal waste and garbage, and they said it looked like the home was not cleaned for years.

The woman's name has not been released. The medical examiner is determining the exact cause of death.

Police sources said it does not appear the dogs killed her so she may have died from natural causes.
